  1. Gather all the herbs and spices and measure them into containers.
  2. In dry skillet heat fennel seed, chili flakes and Italian Herbs over medium high heat until fragrant.
  3. Place heated spices and herbs into processor or mortar and pestle and grind spices until medium consistency.
  4. Then add to ground spices and herbs the remaining ingredients and grind so evenly mixed and flavors infused together.
  5. Place Italian Spice Seasoning into jar with tight fitting lid. And label and date jar.
  6. Use 2 tbsp of Italian Spice Seasoning to one pound of meat. Like ground chicken, turkey or pork to make your own Italian Sausage. Mix the seasoning to coat meat. I also use it on my chicken breast to build Italian Flavor profile.

  2. This is one of my favorite seasoning profiles it’s versatile. If you like this blend a little hotter added more red chili flakes or cayenne pepper. If you like Sweet Italian Sausage added more Turbinado sugar. If you don’t have Turbinado sugar use brown sugar. There are so many variables, this is core recipe. Enjoy, I always keep of this mixture on hand. Today it’s going on my roasted pork loin.
